摘要
Distribution process belongs to the major logistics sub processes and its reliability and availability is critical to the supply chain efficiency. That paper deals with reliability assessment of distribution process. Reliability of supply chain delivery is often defined as the degree to which a seller delivers a product according to the schedule promised at the time of sale. It means that the correct product is delivered to the correct place, at the correct time, in the correct condition and packing, in the correct quantity, with the correct documentation, to the correct customer. To check the possibilities of real process assessment some field tests are carried out. One of the tests concerns delivery of aggregates (grits, sand) from Lower Silesia mines to customers in Poland by different transportation channels. The test realization is described and some interesting and representative results of the research work are shown.
