The design and simulation of microstrip antenna for UWB signal

摘要
This paper introduces the design and simulation of a microstrip antenna which used for the Ultra Wide Band(UWB) signal. This antenna is designed as a microstrip rectangular patch antenna. Simulations have been carried out on this microstrip patch antenna after the parameters of the antenna changed respectively by the HFSS software of the Ansoft Corporation. According to the results that compare with these simulations, the design of the microstrip patch antenna is optimized. And the results show that the input impedance bandwidth of the antenna is up to 262% with a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) <= 3.
