摘要
Spindle cell lipomas (SCL) are rare, slow-growing and benign fatty neoplasms, which are commonly located in the subcutaneous layer of the posterior neck and upper back. Due to the similarities in the clinicoradiological features, it needs to be differentiated from other benign and malignant soft tissue tumors including liposarcoma. Preoperative diagnosis is usually difficult; and, hence, a histopathological study is required to diagnose. Here, we report such a case of extensively calcified SCL in a young girl with recurrence and recent sudden enlargement, clinically and radiographically mimicking liposarcoma.
