摘要：

Intertidal mudflat profiles were measured monthly along two crossshore lines for four years. Assuming the measured profile evolution as the superposition of annual accretion rate, seasonal variation, and episodic variation, the episodic variation due to storm actions was estimated in the range 12.1 to 22.0 cm and two to four times larger than the seasonal variation. The computed tidal currents and wave orbital velocities were compared with field data. The combined effects of tides and wind waves will need to be taken into account for the sediment transport on the intertidal mudflat.
