Improvement of Output Performance in G-band Extended Interaction Klystron

摘要
The Improvement of Output Performance for the unequal-length slots extended interaction klystron working at G-band is proposed. The in degrees uence of drift tube on the beam modulation and beam bunching is analyzed, and the total drift length is optimized to obtain the maximum output power. With design and optimization of a input/output tapered coupler, the minimum re degrees ection of the input signal is achieved. Particle-in-cell (PIC) simulations are presented to compare the output results. By application of the optimized drift tube and the tapered coupler, the maximum output power reaches to 460W with broad bandwidth of 500MHz in our G-band EIK.
