摘要
The objective of this study was to analyze the results of independent studies on hygienic-sanitary conditions and practices of fairs and public markets in Brazil, through an Integrative Literature Review (RIL). To this end, a search was carried out, on January 2, 2020, in the Periodicals Portal of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) using the descriptor "Hygienic-sanitary conditions", in order to identify the scientific articles published in journals in the last 11 years (2009-2019). As a result, after the application of inclusion and exclusion criteria, 12 articles were selected, in which it was possible to observe that there is a historical trend of irregular structural conditions in Brazilian fairs and public markets, as well as poor hygienic practices-sanitary handling in the marketing of food. Such factors can, sequentially, corroborate with the contamination of products by microorganisms, encourage the proliferation of Diseases Transmitted by Food (DVAs) and risk the health of consumers who frequent these spaces.
