摘要
In the last decades, precision agriculture has evolved and slowly proven itself among the farmers. It represents a smart solution, which integrates the information and communication technologies in the traditional agricultural processes for the purpose of better farmland management and improved yields. Since its initial implementations, the approach has undergone many major modifications, which were all aimed to improve the efficiency and the performance of the precision agriculture systems, while at the same time their costs were planned to decrease. In this paper we present an overview of the latest trends for precision agriculture - the use of unmanned aerial vehicles and image processing software products. The paper also presents some of the capabilities of the discussed solutions and provides a brief analysis about their applications for the agricultural sector.
