摘要:
We developed a process to coat surfaces with Poly[bis(trifluoroethoxy)phosphazene] (PTFEP) [1] and tested the blood compatibility with Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assays (ELISA) and in vitro platelet adhesion experiments. We observed that the protein film adsorbed from human blood plasma on PTFEP exhibits a favorable composition with high amounts of albumin and low amounts of coagulation stimulating proteins (fibrinogen and others). Circular dichroism experiments revealed that fibrinogen does not denature on PTFEP to the extent found on other surfaces. We suggest that the trifluoroethanol moieties of PTFEP are responsible for these effects.
