摘要
This paper presents development of 500kW class type utility-scaled power conditioning system (PCS) for hydrogen-powered fuel cell applications. Key factors including energy efficiency, reliability and extensibility have been taken into consideration. Thanks to appropriate hardware and software design, the max efficiency reaches 97.2% in a wide working range, and the extensibility and flexibility in usage are grounded upon a novel design of 12 chopper units that work in parallel. Rigorous factory tests in electrical, control and thermal aspects have demonstrated their outstanding performance as expected in the design and development process.
