摘要
Understanding the neuropsychological consequences of chemotherapy is a major challenge. Studies have shown that treatment with adjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer may be associated with mild cognitive deficits. These disorders have a negative impact on the quality of life of patients. Few studies have been conducted with elderly patients, although the age factor is the biggest risk for this cancer. This article offers an overview of the literature and discusses the impact of such impairments in the elderly.
