摘要
Mycobacterium marinum was first identified as a causative organism of tuberculosis in fish in 1926 [1], but its pathogenic role in causing skin disease in humans was only identified more than two decades later [2]. The organism is prevalent in natural aquatic environments world-wide and can be found in fresh, brackish and salt water [3]. © 2011 Springer Science+Business Media, LLC.
