摘要
Channel estimation techniques in Broadband WLAN (wireless local area network) based on MIMO-OFDM are investigated. Several time-domain and frequency-domain channel estimation and tracking schemes are proposed, and computer simulations verify their excellent performances in the typical indoor channel. The computational complexity of the time-domain channel estimation technique is very high, but using the optimum training symbols, the complexity of time-domain algorithm can be reduced and the best performance can be attained at the same time. Since the inversion of large matrix and the necessary transformations between frequency-domain and time-domain needed in time-domain scheme is avoided, the complexity of the frequency-domain schemes is reduced dramatically while achieving an accurate channel estimate and tracking.
