A new coordination polymer with sulfide moieties, [Co(ptmb)(2)] . 0.25H(2)O (ptmb=4-(4-pyridylthiomethyl)benzoate), was synthesized by self-assembly of Co(NO3)(2) . 6H(2)O with Hptmb under solvothermal conditions. X-ray single crystal diffraction study shows that it is a 2D layer structure consisting of puckered rhombus grid with dimensions 1.175 nm X 1.110 nm.
