摘要
In this work, a simple self-oscillating boost converter with assisted turn-off is proposed for low cost applications. Relative to traditional self-oscillating and PWM converters, the proposed converter ensures reduced component count, soft-switching characteristics, robustness and tight regulation over a wide line/load range. An offline PWM controller is adapted for both load voltage regulation and turn-off control. The desired transient/steady state performances verified via SPICE simulation and a prototype circuit yielded 96.6% maximum efficiency and 0.5% voltage ripple factor.
