摘要
A high yielding synthetic strategy has been optimized for appending Hamilton receptor components onto the bay as well as imide region of perylene diimide (PDI). A comparison is made between the isophthalamide component of Hamilton receptor incorporated directly and with a conjugated spacer (phenylacetylene) into the PDI. In addition, a significant difference was observed among the isophthalamide component substituted at 1- or both 1- and 7-positions of the PDI. The presence of several reduction peaks in all derivatives of the Hamilton receptor functionalized PDI suggests a promising potential for organic electronic devices.
