摘要：
In this paper, the author studies the new regionalism in the Americas from an international perspective. Firstly, he reviews power relations and economic and political interdependence among the regional and sub-regional organization within Latin America. Secondly, this analysis takes into consideration globalization. Finally, he presents the centrifugal and centripetal forces explaining the complex relationship between regionalism and the world trading system.
