摘要
Automated Round Bar Testing based on Phased Array Technique. The main objective of the investigations has been the adaption of the Phased Array Technique for round bar testing. Model calculations have been carried out to optimise a circular linear array for this application. The results were verified in the course of laboratory measurements by means of special test rods which contained a number of flat bottom holes and notches in various depths. Finally a prototype set up was established to investigate the technique under conditions of practice. In summary it can be said, that the Phased Array Technique is more than suitable to replace conventional techniques in testing machines. Besides the general benefits of programmable sound field control, it provides outstanding possibilities for improved detection of oblique indications as well as the compensation of temperature and geometry influences.
