摘要
Cement treatment of reclaimed construction and demolition waste as road bases is a good means to improve the load spreading capacity of pavements as well as reuse more waste instead of landfills. This paper systematically presented the structural properties of cement treated construction and demolition waste as road bases. The mixture variables including masonry content, cement content, degree of compaction, water content and curing time were considered for the mixture design. Experimental results showed that decreasing the masonry content as well as increasing the cement content and the degree of compaction may enhance its mechanical properties. The masonry content was a key factor determining its mechanical properties, dry and thermal shrinkage behaviour. The estimation models for its mechanical properties and shrinkage behaviour in relation to all mixture variables were developed. Using these estimation models for pavement design with cement treated construction and demolition waste will save time and reduce experimental cost. (C) 2015 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
