摘要
While water quality evaluation is the groundwork of water environment protection and governance, scientific and objective evaluation to water environment is the focus of water environment study. From the perspective of water quality evaluation methods prevailing in China and Russia, this paper uses single-factorial evaluation and water pollution index ("WPI") comprehensive evaluation to evaluate water quality at 3 cross sections of M River. Despite there are some differences between results based on the methods, results from WPI comprehensive evaluation are slightly superior to those from single-factorial evaluation as a whole. Moreover, this paper analyzes difference between evaluation results in terms of standard and method.
