摘要
Background: Brooding and reflection are conceptualized as rumination components with differing adaptive properties. They are measured with an internationally widely used 10-item version of the Response Styles Questionnaire (RSQ). Objective: To evaluate the psychometric properties of the German version of this 10-item RSQ (RSQ-10D). Methods: Confirmatory factor analyses were conducted in two samples of young adults (n(1) = 166, n(2) = 172). Further analyses were additionally performed with acutely depressed individuals (n = 53). Results: Analyses revealed that a two-dimensional brooding-reflection model achieved acceptable model fit. Both factors exhibited adequate internal consistency and retest reliability. Correlations with related constructs were plausible and suggest reflection as being less dysfunctional. Conclusions: Despite acceptable psychometric properties the brooding-reflection differentiation should be further validated in future studies.
