Properties of polymers cross-linked by a fluorene ring or siloxane-containing cross-linking agents

摘要
Two types of cross-linking agent, 1.3-bis(methacryloyloxypropyl- or 4-vinylphenyl)-1,1,3.3-tetramethyldisiloxane (MS2, SS2), and 9,9-bis(4-acryloylamino- or 4-acryloyloxy)phenyl-fluorenes (FDA, FDE) were synthesized. Cross-linked polymers of p-chlorostyrene (p-CSt) or methyl methacrylate (MMA) using MS2, SS2, FDA, and FDE were prepared by radical polymerization. and their thermal and dynamic properties and oxygen permeability coefficients (Pol) were investigated. The cross-linked polymers with MS2, SS2, FDA, and FDE gave tougher films, with self-supporting properties and slightly higher oxygen permeability coefficients than those with conventional 1,2-bis(methacryloyloxy)ethane (EDM) as the cross-linking agent. The glass transition temperature (T-g) of the polymers increased in the order poly(p-CSt) < MS2- and SS2-cross-linked polymers < EDM cross-linked polymer < EDA- and FDE-cross-linked polymers. This tendency is similar for the crosslinked poly(MMA).
