摘要
In this article, I borrow concepts from the cinema to imagine law as navigated, interpreted and constructed from the standpoint of street-entrenched people. These sites/sights of law, I argue, are different from the perspectives instantiated in legislation and other law designed to classify and regulate people experiencing homelessness. What I call cinelegal techniques are essentially metaphors that may add nuance to more sceptical and instrumentalist views of law that are circulated by activists and scholars working with and for street-involved communities. The four alternative ways of sensing regulation may also facilitate an embodied perception of street life by the people with whom street-involved people interact.
