The effects of ventilation parameters on the migration behaviors of head-on dusts in the heading face

摘要
In order to provide theoretical guidance for effective dust prevention and treatment in the heading face, a simulation system was designed to investigate the migration behaviors of airborne dusts, and the effects of ventilation parameters on airflow and migration of head-on dusts in the heading face were analyzed through the simulations. The simulation results indicate that, in terms of airflow behaviors, the dust-isolation air curtain was more easily formed at a greater distance from the pressure outlet and a smaller distance from the exhaust outlet, under the condition of a larger pressure-to-exhaust ratio and a smaller pressure airflow capacity. In terms of dust migration performances, the migration ability of the head-on dusts weakened at a smaller distance from the exhaust outlet, which also firstly decreased and then increased with increasing pressure airflow capacity. The migration ability decreased gradually and tended to be stable as the distance between the pressure outlet and head-on section increased and the pressure-to-exhaust ratio decreased. When the pressure-to-exhaust ratio equaled to 0.75, the dust concentration in the operation region tended to be stable.
