Calculation of the He- 1s2s22S resonance using fully correlated Hylleraas functions

The 1s2s(22)S resonance parameters in e(-)-He scattering are calculated using the method of complex-coordinate rotation with Hylleraas functions. A fully correlated basis with all six interparticle coordinates between the three electrons and the nucleus is used to represent the wave function. The resonance energy and width are calculated to computational accuracies (relative error) of six parts in 10(6) and 2%, respectively. A comparison is made with other calculations and high-resolution experiments. [S1050-2947(99)51004-4].
