摘要
A new scenario for disposal of the anthropogenic CO2 in the ocean is proposed. In this scenario, liquid CO2 is injected through a submerged pipeline into a crystallizer located at a depth between 450 and 500 m in the ocean, where the injected liquid CO2 is converted completely into hydrate particles via a crystallization process and then the hydrate particles are released into the ocean. Because of being heavier than seawater, the hydrate particles will sink and will be sequestrated in the ocean. This proposed scenario has been simulated experimentally and the simulation results, including the effect of agitation on the formation process of CO2 hydrate particles, are reported in this study.
