摘要：

The toxicity of copper to Oreochromis niloticus fingerlings in natural unfiltered freshwater-the Ikpoba river water, pH 6, total alkalinity 6.0 m/litre, total hardness 0.57 mg/litre as CaCO3 at 27 degrees+/-2 degrees C is described. This fish were exposed to 0.25, 0.5 and 0.75 mg Cu2+/litre in a static system in toxicity trial which lasted 360 hr. The median-lethal, concentration obtained were 1.0, 0.68 and 0.60 mg Cu2+/litre for the 4- 9- and 10-day LC 50 respectively.
