摘要
In this paper, a low-profile wideband dual-polarized antenna with a frequency selected surface (FSS) for base station applications is presented. The proposed antenna consists of three parts, which are a radiator, a FSS and a reflector. The radiator is made up of two crossed dual-dipole elements for dual polarization. Due to the introduction of the FSS, the total height of the antenna is reduced to 0.183 lambda(0) (lambda(0) is the free-space wavelength of the center frequency). The operating bandwidth for vertical bar S-11 vertical bar< -14 dB covers the frequency band of 1.7-2.7 GHz with a port isolation higher than 30 dB. The antenna gain for both polarizations is about 10 dBi.
