摘要
In this paper a wide stop band frequency selective surface(FSS) integrated microstrip patch antenna is presented.Wideband patch type FSS consists of four rectangular patches of different dimensions to give more than 7 dB improvement in gain of the antenna.The FSS layer is placed beneath the microstrip patch antenna. The FSS is responsible for increase in gain of the antenna.Characteristics of the proposed structure are simulated using HFSS.The FSS layer provides a wide stop band response with more than 10 dB loss in the frequency range 6-8 (Ghz).
