This work aims to study the non-Newtonian behavior of a magneto- and ferro-hydrodynamic phase change material (PCM) inside a differentially heated enclosure. The enclosure is occupied with a Power-law nonNewtonian PCM, and a non-uniform magnetic field is imposed on the adjacent hot wall. The left and right of the enclosure are subjected to the high and cold temperatures, and the top and bottom of the enclosure are insulated. A deformed mesh technique along with the Stephan condition is applied to track the interface of the solid and molten regions. The impacts of the alterable parameters including the Rayleigh number (104 < Ra < 106), the Power-law index (0.7 < n < 1), the Hartman number (0 < Ha < 250) and the magnetic parameter (0 < Mnf < 7000) on the melting front, normalized melt volume fraction (NMVF), and the Nusselt number are studied. The simulation shows that a decrease in the Power-law index can significantly increase the melting rate. In addition to this, results show that augmentation of the Hartman number and magnetic parameter weakens and enhances the NMVF, respectively.
