摘要
Active learning strategies such as mind mapping have been proven to be effective in helping retain memory. Given that mind mapping has seen notable success in assessment and exam preparation, this study investigated the effectiveness of mind mapping as an active learning tool for university students. In addition, this study also looked into areas of active learning that could possibly require further improvement. Data collected from 22 Strategic management students was analysed using quantitative and qualitative methods. Results from the one-sample t-test suggest that the mind map technique enhances students learning ability. Results from the qualitative phase revealed areas that students feel could assist them to better utilize the mind map technique. Future improvements for the use of mind map technique for students are also discussed.
