摘要
A new family of chloride transport proteins with extensive homology to a Ca2+-sensitive Cl- channel (CaCC) originally cloned from bovine trachea has been identified. The new members of this family have been identified in human, murine, and bovine epithelia, in addition to some other tissues, such as brain and endothelia. Heterologous expression of these proteins in Xenopus oocytes or HEK 293 cells is associated with the appearance of a novel Ca2+-sensitive chloride conductance pathway. The expressed current is sensitive to inhibitors such as DIDS and niflumic acid. In addition, at least one family member acts as an endothelial cell adhesion molecule.
