摘要：

The operation characteristics and reliability of composite insulator are analyzed in this paper based on operation experiences and test study results. The problems in operation are pointed out, which should be noticed and studied for the composite insulator in China. In addition, some suggestions to improving structure and technologies for the manufacturer are put forward.
