摘要
Transient stability assessment and improvement is critical for power grid operation. It deals with the assessment of transient behavior of power grid (especially the generators) when subjected to large disturbances. Clearing a disturbance and taking preventive control actions before it makes the power grid unstable is of crucial importance. In this paper, by using the potential energy of generators, a controller is designed to enhance the transient stability of the system and increase the stability margin. The proposed approach has been tested on IEEE 39 bus test system and the results are provided. It can be seen that the proposed control architecture provide increased stability margin and better controller performance.
