摘要
In order to reflect the influence of complex geological faults on the stability of surrounding rock in large underground caverns, a numerical simulation method for the connotative geological faults is put forward. In this method, the elements of complex geological faults are hided in the elements of rock mass, which can avoid the influence of faults on the elements subdivision of rock. Using the connotative faults elements can not only shorten the calculation period through simplifying the finite element discrete of large underground caverns incised by complex geologic faults, but effectively reflect the influence of those faults on the stability of surrounding rocks. Based on this method, an actual engineering computation of Jinping-I Hydropower Station underground caverns is conducted. The results prove that this method provides an effective calculation idea for the analysis of complex geological faults structure.
