The authors of this study present current views on laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair procedures. Indications for mini-invasive procedures of recurrent, bilateral or incarcerated hernias ore discussed based on medical literature. Some aspects of perioperative management as well as early and late results of laparoscopic procedures are also presented. According to the authors, laparoscopic procedures may become a significant alternative to classical procedures.
