The effect of Schorl on the photocatalytic properties of the TiO2/Schorl composite materials

摘要
The TiO2/Schorl composite materials were synthesized by a hydrothermal method. The results showed that the amount of Schorl obviously affected the photocatalytic performance of the TiO2/Schorl. The fluorescence intensity of all TiO2/Schorl samples was weaker than that of the pure TiO2 implying the Schorl could effectively reduce the recombination rate of the excitation electron and hole. The highest photocatalytic efficiency reached to 99.4% of TiO2/3%Schorl. (C) 2017 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V. This is an open access article under the CC BY-NC-ND license.
