摘要：
This paper describes males of a new species of the cleptoparasitic euglossine genus Exaerete Hoffmannsegg. Exaerete guaykuru Anjos-Silva and Rebelo new species, was found in the moist forest of Planalto dos Guimaraes\, located in the Chapada dos Guimaraes National Park in southern Mato Grosso, Brazil. Three males were captured using methyl salycilate baits in November 2004, at the beginning of the wet season. Illustrations of male features, including genitalia, and a key to species are provided.
