摘要：

Given the cost of a cleaning operation, generator cleaning is neither a routine procedure nor a scheduled maintenance action. Justification for a cleaning operation involves several considerations. This paper addresses vertical axis hydro generators with expoxy mica stator bar insulation. The avoidance of water-based liquids in the cleaning process is emphasized.
