A core-shell structure composed of copper and silver has been prepared by chemical reduction method. The structure and composition of the synthesized Cu-Ag core-shell have been characterized using UV-vis spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results show that an Ag layer of 25 +/- 5 nm thickness is covered onto the surface of Cu particle having size of approximately 304 +/- 110 nm.
