The subject of the investigation carried out in 1992 were grain winter triticale cultivars: Bolero, Dagro, Malno, Presto. During the storage period moisture content of grain, germination capacity, emergence of grain and mycoflora were studied. Grain drying up to moisture 12.6% and storing without air access, at variable temperature (14.2-25.6 degrees C) contributed to its high indices of sowing value. When stored without air access, at climate (0-3 degrees C), regardless two levels of moisture (ab. 12.6% and ab. 15%) the grain kept its high quality, within the period of I year. Penicillium spp. and Aspergillus spp. were the main cause of reduced germination, when grain was stored in air-tight closed glass containers at variable temp, and the moisture of grain about 15%. The grain triticale can be stored in linien bags if moisture of grain is ab.13% and air humidity equals 60%.
