摘要
Cardiac magnetic resonance has evolved into a crucial modality for the evaluation of cardiomyopathy due to its ability to characterize myocardial structure and function. In the last few years, interest has increased in the potential of "mapping'' techniques that provide direct and objective quantification of myocardial properties such as T-1, T-2, and T-2* times. These approaches enable the detection of abnormalities that affect the myocardium in a diffuse fashion and/or may be too subtle for visual recognition. This article reviews the current state of myocardial T-1 and T-2-mapping in both health and disease. (C) 2016 Sociedad Espanola de Cardiologia. Published by Elsevier Espana, S.L.U.
