摘要
Basic procedure of ilmenite smelting and rational Ti slag grade in pyrometallurgical process have been summarized and analyzed. The rational Ti slag grade is related to reduction degree, FeO content and assistant dissolve impurities, with important influence on smelting condition and acid decomposition. Considering the different characteristics of mineral resources, various titanium slag metallurgical processes have been reviewed. QIT and RBM use oxidizing roast and magnetic separation to remove S and Cr2O3 in the raw ore. Comparing with one stage melting method by electric furnace, pre-reduced in the two stage method have the advantages of energy saving, inhibition of low-valent titanium and titanium carbonitride generation, higher productivity and improving smelting conditions. And in China, RHF-EF process is a more efficient way to utilize titanomagnetite concentrate than traditional BF-BOF process.
