Composite xLa0.7Ca0.2Sr0.1MnO3 /(1-x)La0.7Te0.3MnO3 materials: magnetocaloric properties around room temperature

摘要
The present study includes structural, magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of xLa(0.7)Ca(0.2)Sr(0.1)MnO(3) /(1 - x)La0.7Te0.3MnO3 (x = 0.25 and 0.75) composites. Two main samples and their composites were produced by the solid state technique. Magnetization measurements dependent on temperature (M(T)) were made under 0.01 T magnetic field and in the temperature intervals 5-350 K. The M(T) curves of the composites show two magnetic phase transitions related to La0.7Ca0.2Sr0.1MnO3 (LCSM) and La0.7Te0.3MnO3 (LTM) samples. To calculate magnetic entropy change (- Delta S-M), the magnetization dependence on magnetic field (M(H)) measurements were performed at up to 5 T. Maximum magnetic entropy change (-Delta S-M(max)) value is found as 4.54 Jkg(-1) K-1 for 0.25LCSM/0.75LTM and 3.94 Jkg(-1) K-1 for 0.75LCSM/0.25LTM under 5 T. The experimentally and theoretically calculated -Delta S-M(max) values show a similarity with each other.
