The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) is responsible for transportation and air quality planning in the Lake Tahoe Basin. The primary goal of TRPA's planning efforts is to protect the water quality of Lake Tahoe. TRPA develops transportation and air quality programs, regulations, and projects in coordination with numerous public and private sector entities. In addition, President Clinton hosted a Presidential Forum on Lake Tahoe to expand the federal role in transportation, air, and water quality planning.
