摘要
The Charge Coupled Device (CCD) based vertex detector is being studied for the Joint Linear Colfider (JLC) project. One of the main goals is the operation of CCDs at near-room temperature in order to reduce the amount of materials between the interaction points and outer detectors, and minimize the thermal distortion of CCD wafers. In this paper, we describe some of the aspects about the operation at near-room temperature with the results of radiation immunity and spatial resolution studies for the JLC project.
