摘要
The mechanical activation of alpha-spodumene in centrifugal planetary apparatuses changed the structure of the mineral and caused the cleavage of the Me-O (Me-Li, Al) bonds. Further treatment with acids and alkali led to the nearly complete transition of aluminum and lithium to the liquid phase. The alkaline decomposition of activated alpha-spodumene formed aluminate solutions, from which lithium aluminum hydroxide LiOH center dot 2Al(OH)(3) center dot mH(2)O was precipitated.
