摘要
Based on the 3D modeling method reconstruction of reverse engineering and rapid prototyping technology, the surface of the kettle body and the lid of the teapot was digitized, realizing the process of entity -> 3D data -> 3D model reconstruction -> entity model. In this paper, the teapot surface was digitally measured with the non-contact digital technology, handheld 3D laser scanner to obtain a lot of point-cloud data. The reconstruction of the model was accomplished using computer-aided software such as Imageware and UG, and the output of entity modeling was achieved using a rapid prototyping machine. The combination of reverse engineering and rapid prototyping technology simplifies the process of product reoptimization and effectively shortens the design and the development cycle of the product.
