摘要
In common systems, a monopulse antenna extracts the angle of arrival in only receiver. But this paper presents a method to transmit directional information by the monopulse antenna. A new microwave space modulation was designed, which signal constellation is non-orthogonal and is controlled by azimuth and elevation. The direction with respect to transmitter can be estimated by a single channel receiver. Therefore, the proposed systems can transmit data information and find direction in the way of the reversed monopulse. In addition, a differential encoding of signal states is also derived to improve the performance of data transmission. Finally, simulation results are given to illustrate the performance of bit error rate and direction-finding when a scheme of the coherent receiver with recovering carrier loop is used and a channel is supposed Gaussian.
