A novel FTFN based universal cascadable current-mode biquad filter

摘要
A novel four terminal floating nullor (FTFN) based universal cascadable current-mode (CM) filter circuit with single input and three outputs (SITO) is presented. Based on and employing four FTFNs and as many passive components the circuit yields two configurations through the exchange of passive components. Both the configurations realize all the generic filtering functions viz. highpass (HP), lowpass (LP), inverted bandpass (BP), allpass (AP), and Notch from the same topology and have the added advantage of having low input impedance and high output impedance. Besides satisfying the minimum passive element condition and cascaclable feature for higher order filter realization, the topology enjoys low passive sensitivity figures. The cutoff frequency coo and bandwidth omega(0)/Q are independently tunable in a sequential manner PSPICE simulation results are given to confirm the theoretical results.
