摘要
Samples of the NdCo9-xFexSi4 solid solution based on the NdCo9Si4 ternary compound were synthesized and the effect of Fe substitution on the structural and magnetic properties was investigated. These phases crystallize with the CeNi8.5Si4.5 structure type of space group I4/mcm. Magnetic measurements on the compounds with iron content x = 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5 were performed between 4 and 1200 K in fields up to 10 T. The data reveal that these compounds possess a ferromagnetic character with very high Curie temperatures. (c) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
